This video resource section is to help parents work out with kids beyond the classroom. These videos are to supplement your manuals, katas and study sheets. There is an old saying, "Hear and forget, see and remember, do and understand." It is vitally important for you to do the techniques, study diligently and train hard. 1. Belt Tying: How to tie you Karate belt or "obi."

2. Bowing: How to do a proper Cuong Nhu bow.

3. Stances: These are the basic stances required for one yellow stripe.

4. Forward Stance: Footwork required for one yellow stripe: advancing, retreating, and returning in forward stance.

5. Punches & Chops: How to do the basic punches and chops required for one yellow stripe.

6. Blocking: How to do the basic blocks required for one and two yellow stripes.

7. Kicking: Upward knee kick and front snap kick are the basic leg techniques required for one yellow stripe.

8. Basics: This is a very short workout for kids to practice at home.

9. Taikyoku: Kata 1, Taikyoku, is the first kata in Cuong Nhu and is required for promotion to yellow belt.

10. Kata 2: This kata was created by O Sensei Dong Ngo, founder of Cuong Nhu, in Vietnam in the 1960s. It is required for promotion to two purple stripes.

11. Kata 3: This kata is required for promotion to one purple stripe.

12. Kata 4: This kata is required for promotion to one purple stripe.

13. Machine Gun Kata: Created by O Sensei Dong Ngo, founder of Cuong Nhu, to teach "Machine Gun Principle" that states that rapid combinations are usually more effective than single techniques. It is required for promotion to purple belt.

14. Pinan 1: Created in the mid-1800's by Itosu Anko and introduced by Gichen Funakoshi, this form is required for promotion to blue belt stripe.

15. Pinan 2: Created in the mid-1800's by Itosu Anko and introduced by Gichen Funakoshi, this form is required for promotion to blue belt.
